In 2002 Pastor Richard Murdock felt the call to leave Calvary Chapel Modesto and start a new church in the city of Turlock. Starting with a small home fellowship, Calvary Chapel Turlock grew in to a small congregation of faithful believers which met at 125 Orange St. until 2008.

In the summer of 2008 Pastor Rob Monroe, born and raised in the Turlock area, felt the same call to leave Calvary Chapel Modesto to begin Pastoring a fellowship.

Neither men knew that God was working both sides of this work and by July of 2008 both men knew what path the Lord directing them to. In September of 2008, Pastor Rob Monroe took over the Senior Pastor position of Calvary Chapel Turlock. Pastor Rob did not come alone from Modesto. The Lord raised up other men to come alongside him in this new work and in a short time it appeared that the Lord was developing an infrastucture of servants for a new chapter in the history of Calvary Chapel Turlock. We are all anxious to see what He does next.
